The Management Team

Tricia Adams
General Manager and Co-Owner
Tricia co-founded Lakemore with her husband Dean in 2015 — Dean's craft as a builder, Tricia's eye for design, and a shared belief that families deserve a place that feels as good as it looks. For years, Tricia ran Lakemore alongside a 15-year career as a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse. When it was time to choose, she chose the lake. She now oversees design, development, sales, and guest relations for the resort, and co-directs Bay Area Contracting and BAC Design Group alongside Dean. Dean and Tricia have three children who all have worked at Lakemore. As a family, they have a love for travel, which has inspired many of the wonderful features offered at Lakemore.

Michael Reid
Creative director
Over the past 15 years, Michael has traveled the world making films for Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and the BBC. These projects included filming great white sharks in New Zealand, forest fires in the Canadian Arctic, and fine arts photography in some of the most remote corners of the globe, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Siberian Russia.

Derek Smith
Property & Marine Manager
Derek Smith is an experienced property and marina manager with a strong background in service, operations, and hands-on leadership. Raised on a family farm, Derek developed a deep work ethic and practical problem-solving skills from an early age - qualities that continue to define his professional approach today.
Before transitioning into property and marina management, Derek dedicated 12 years as a first responder, demonstrating commitment, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure. He is a graduate of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, where he studied culinary arts and hospitality, further strengthening his expertise in customer service and operational excellence.
Outside of work, Derek enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, including hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He also takes pride in building and remodeling projects at home, combining creativity with craftsmanship.
Derek brings professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility to everything he does, making him a trusted leader in both his career and community.

Danielle Fitterer
Housekeeping Manager
With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Dani brings a passion for creating exceptional experiences and leading strong, team-oriented environments. Known for her leadership and dedication, she thrives on supporting and developing others. Outside of work, she's a proud mom of four and a devoted hockey mom.
Lakemore prides itself on hiring many locals to our staff during the busy summer months. Our seasonal summer help ranges from 8th graders all the way up to college students and part time adult staff with professional cleaning experience. We strive to provide the best customer service in town!
